Worship Arts at FBC

FBC is continuing to grow in our knowledge and understanding of the Worship Arts. We know that God uses many different ways to reach his people (beyond what we can even comprehend) and we are trying to use the gifts and talents he has given us to reach the lost. If you are interested in what ways we use the arts scroll down to check out the different groups.

Praise Team

At the present time we have two different teams at FBC and are looking to expand that soon. We meet for practices on Wednesdays and we lead worship on Sundays in the second service at 10:30. Often the team is able to do special music as well as the worship on Sunday mornings and for special events such as Easter Sunday and the Christmas program.

Practice: Wednesday at 6:00
Location: Sanctuary

Contact: Jon Gerten 781-8400

Choir

Presenting special choral arrangements for Sunday morning service and special events, i.e. Easter
and Christmas. Emphasis on praise and worship through the ministry of song.

Practice: Sundays, 4:45 p.m.
Location: Sanctuary

Special Music

All ages presenting special music vocally and/or instrumentally, – solo or otherwise, in both morning worship services. A wonderful opportunity for members and non-members alike to use their talents for the Lord while ministering to others.

Special music for the first service is an opportunity for everyone. In the second service we would like the special music to be thematic so it is planned ahead. If you have questions feel free to call Jon Gerten at 781-8400 ext. 103 or e mail him at jgerten@familybiblechurchmarshall.org

Youth Praise Team

The youth at FBC play an integral role in our ministry. Each wednesday in youth group the students help in leading worship for the rest of the group. They also are able to lead in the main service every few months. This is a great opportunity for students to get a chance to display their talents while learning what true worship and leadership is all about.
