We’re Back!

So recently, i read an articel in worship leader magazine. It was written by Ross Parsley. He is the worship pastor at new life church. Their worship team is pretty amazing. We have actually done a few songs from that ministry. The title of the article was “Worship Leader or Worship Pastor?” The title immediately caught my attention because i have had a struggle personally with why i am not labeled as pastor and rather leader or director. It was not a pride issue…i think…it was just a curiosity and something i did not understand. As i read the article i began to see some things i need to work on as a leader. One thing i want to do that this article pointed out is to genuinely build relationships with all of the teams outside of a sunday service or in rehearsal. I feel that if our team gets to truly know each others hearts and where we are in our own personal worship we will be able to grow together and make our worship to God all the better.

So i would like to start this blog back up again. I will put up thoughts and share what God is doing in my life, but i would like you to do the same. Post a comment on the page or e mail with your thoughts so that we can grow together. Post a song that is impacting your life or a song you want us to do in service and give your insight on what God is doing in your life. Lets be teams that grow together and not completely separate from each other. In all reality…i should not be labeled as a worship pastor if you are not labeled as that as well. If we are all called to be worship leaders then we should be able to pastor each other as well. One line that pops out of the article is this, “If we can’t pastor our own team effectively, we’re not going to be able to pastor our congregation.” Lets grow together and continue to build our worship to God as a team and a congregation.
